Peyto Glacier

Driving from Lake Louise to Jasper on the Icefields Parkway, just past Bow Lake and up a hill, you will see a sign which says, “The Bow Summit”.

There is a small drive to a parking lot and a short hike to a lookout. Once you reach it, you will see Peyto Lake. If you look to the left, you will see the Peyto Glacier.

Peyto Lake is fed by Peyto Creek, which drains water from Caldron Lake and the Peyto Glacier.

I took a photograph for this painting the same morning I photographed Peyto Lake.
