Emerald Lake is located in Yoho National Park. Access to the lake is just a few kilometres off the TransCanada Highway, which many people miss.
One can see wildlife such as bald eagles, moose, ospreys, and loons.
It is also a lovely lake to canoe with rentals available. I rented one and canoed around the lake. Its name is perfect as the waters are a soft emerald green in areas which inspired me to paint it.
